Transmute to Acid
Transmutation [Acid]
Level: Destruction 8
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area: One 10-ft. cube
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: See text
Spell Resistance: No
Spell Points: 15
The screams and splashes very quickly turn into a quiet hiss.
This spell instantaneously turns solid, nonliving, nonmagical, unattended material of any sort into an equal volume of acid.
A creature standing on a surface that is transmuted to acid immediately sinks.
The acid is nonmagical after the transmutation, and has all the appropriate environmental effects.
An unconstrained body of acid flows like water, forming a large, shallow puddle.
If the ceiling of a rock cavern or tunnel (or other ceiling thick enough to transmute a full 10-ft. cube) is transmuted to acid, the acid immediately falls to the floor and spreads out. The falling acid deals 10d6 points of acid damage to anyone caught directly beneath the area, or half damage to those who succeed on Reflex saves.
A 10 cubic foot body of acid loses its potency after dealing approximately 1000 points of damage to its surroundings.
Augment: For every 2 additional spell points you spend, you can transmute another 10’ cube. Each transmuted cube must be adjacent to another cube.
