For the spell’s duration, every creature in the area takes 2d6 points of cold damage and 3d6 points of damage directly from the impacts. A -4 penalty applies to each Listen check made within the ice storm’s effect, and all land movement within its area is at half speed. At the end of the duration, the hail disappears, leaving no aftereffects (other than the damage dealt).

For every 2 additional spell points you spend, you gain an additional, non-overlapping cylinder of ice you can place anywhere within spell range.
For every 3 additional spell points you spend, the physical and cold damage dealt by the spell is increased by 1d6 each.
