Target: One fresh corpse OR recently destroyed undead; see text
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None, Reflex half; see text
Spell Resistance: None
Spell Points: 13
You extend your arm, and the corpse begins to bulge.
The corpse explodes in a of bone and flesh. Any creature within 20’ of the corpse takes 1d6 points of damage per HD the corpse had at the time of death. A successful Reflex save halves this damage.
The targeted corpse must be fresh, dead for no more than one hour per caster level. It must be mostly in one piece prior to the casting of this spell. A corpse that never was alive to begin with is not a corpse for the purposes of this spell.
Alternatively, you can target a recently destroyed undead creature, destroyed for no more than one hour per caster level. When targeting a destroyed undead creature, use the number of HD it had at the time of destruction for purposes of calculating the damage dealt by this spell.
Ordinarily, casting this spell is a standard action. However, if you catch a creature at the moment of its death (or destruction, in the case of an undead creature), you may cast this spell as an immediate action, causing it to explode on the spot.
