The fires turn black, but continue to shed their light... at least as far as you are concerned.

The light emitted by the targeted light sources changes in nature. For you, the light sources shed light as brightly as ever before, but as far as anyone else is concerned, their light has completely vanished.

Secondary characteristics of the light sources remain unaffected, fires still are still hot, glowing magic weapons are still magic weapons, and so forth, but they no longer illuminate their surroundings for anyone but you.

You can target covered fires, such as those of lanterns. If a targeted source of fire sets another object on fire, the new object sheds light normally.

Augment: You can augment this spell in one or both of the following ways:

  1. If you spend 2 additional spell points, this spell’s duration increases to 10 minutes per level.

  2. For every 2 additional spell points you spend, you may designate one creature that shares your ability to see by the affected light sources.
